Transgene
origin
Strain of Origin:  FVB/N
Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Humanized sequence, Inducible, Inserted expressed sequence)
Inducer:    doxycycline/tetracycline
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe transgenic construct contains a human AML1-ETO fusion protein sequence (coding for the translocation t(8;21) associated with acute myeloid leukemia (AML)) under the transcriptional control of the tetracycline transactivator responsive promoter (tetO). Inducible expression of AML1-ETO is observed in Northern and Western blot analysis. (J:64482)

Notes
Founder lines 2, 6, 7, and 13 were also established. When mice are crossed with the mice carrying the Tg(MMTVtTA)1Mam transgene, Founder lines 6, 8, and 13 express AML1-ETO in the bone marrow. These three lines have a similar pattern of expression. Founder line 7 expresses in bone marrow and peritoneal macrophages. No inducible expression is found in line 2.
