Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsSequence encoding a part of the extracellular cadherin domain exon 1 was replaced with a lox71 site, lacZ gene, polyadenylation sequence, FRT site, neomycin resistance cassette, FRT site, loxP site and polyadenylation sequence. Cre-mediated recombination removed the lacZ and neomycin resistance cassette. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in the anterior and posteror striatum. (J:201552)
