Transgene
origin
Strain of Origin:  CD-1
Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer:    tamoxifen
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Kcne1-cre/ERT2)1Imos expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe transgene construct was generated by BAC recombineering methods in bacteria. The Kcne1 (minK) coding sequence in BAC RP23276-120 was replaced with a cre/ERT2-bGH pA-Frt-Zeo-Frt cassette. The purified BAC was microinjected into fertilized CD-1 oocytes. Four founder lines that exhibited consisted inducible cre activity in the cardiac conduction were obtained. One line was analyzed in greater detail. Line numbers are not available. (J:178662)
