Mutation details: The mouse mammary gland tumor virus (MMTV) promoter drives mammary gland-specific expression of a tetracycline transactivator (tTA). Two lines were generated (25754 and 25755). Line 25754 integrated on chromosome 8 (chr8:12,485,790-12,564,686; mouse mm10), approximately 10kb upstream of the Spaca7 locus. Currently there are no genes annotated in the integration region. This analysis also identified the transgene includes an SV40 NLS and polyA signal.
