• Mutation details: A 4 base pair insertion (AATT) was inserted into the last exon after the transmembrane domain, shifting the reading frame and preventing translation of the cytoplasmic domain. A floxed neo cassette was inserted after the last exon and then removed by cre-mediated recombination. Immunoblot analysis confirmed the deletion of the cytoplasmic domain and stable expression of the mutant protein in primary cardiac endothelial cells from homozygous mice. (J:176047)
