Mutation
origin
Mutant Cell Line:  IST14901H6
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:204812
Parent Cell Line:  Lex3.13 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  C57BL/6N
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Gene trapped (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion of gene trap vector

Mutation detailsA gene trap cassette inserted in intron 3 of the locus. Heterozygous mutant mice show a 50% reduction in the encoded protein in bone marrow and spleen lysates compared to controls. RT-PCR expression analysis of the transcript in bone marrow extracts also showed a 50% reduction in transcript levels in heterozyogotes. (J:227164)
