Summary
QTL variant: MicrlR
Name: microwave induced increase in complement receptor B cells; responder
MGI ID: MGI:5014255
QTL: Micrl  Location: unknown  Genetic Position: Chr5, Syntenic
Variant
origin
Strain of Specimen:  multiple strains
Variant
description
Allele Type:    QTL
Inheritance:    Dominant
Notes
Carriers of this dominant QTL respond to microwave exposure with an increase in splenic C3 receptor-bearing B cells. The following inbred strains are homozygous for Micrl: AKR/J, C3H/HeJ, C3H/HeN, CBA/J, CBA/N, DBA/2J, and JGBF/LeTy. These recombinant inbred strains are also responders: BXH3/Ty, BXH4/Ty, BXH8/Ty, BXH9/Ty, BXH10/Ty, and BXH19/Ty.
