Parent Cell Line:  Not Specified (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  C57BL/6
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, No functional change)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 2 and was followed by an FRT flanked neomycin and a second loxP site. A third loxP site was placed immedicately downstream of exon 2. Properly targeted mice were bred to mice expressing flp recombinase in order to remove the neomycin selection cassette and leave exon 2 surrounded by loxP sites. (J:165020)
