Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Chemically induced (ENU)
Mutation:    Single point mutation

Mutation detailsThis mutant was the result of an ENU screen. Meiotic mapping of 154 progeny from intercrossed heterozygotes refined the critical interval to 1.7 megabases (Mb) between D15Mit18 and single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs13482490 on mouse chromosome 15. Gene sequencing in this interval identified a T-to-A transversion (T285A) in the third exon of the Fam105b gene, which replaced tryptophan at position 96 with arginine. (J:163657, J:197674)
Inheritance:    Recessive
