Spontaneous Allele Detail
Symbol: Traf3ip2adjm
Name: TRAF3 interacting protein 2; atopic dermatitis from Japanese mice
MGI ID: MGI:4820827
Gene: Traf3ip2  Location: Chr10:39488930-39531303 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr10, 20.86 cM
Alliance: Traf3ip2adjm page
Strain of Origin:  KOR
Allele Type:    Spontaneous
Mutation:    Nucleotide substitutions
Mutation detailsA spontaneous mutation resulted in a C to T transition in the second exon. The transition results in a C- terminal truncation by changing amino acid 214 from glutamine (CAG) to a stop codon (TAG). RT-PCR showed reduced transcript level and western blots of protein extracts from spleens showed no specific Ab labeling in the positions expected for TRAF3IP2.
Inheritance:    Recessive
