Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:152015
Parent Cell Line:  E14 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe lone coding exon was replaced with a LacZ cassette and a floxed neomycin resistance gene. Founder mice were crossed with cre transgenic mice to remove the neomycin selection cassette from the germline. Endogenous gene inactivation and reporter gene expression were confirmed by RT-PCR analysis of brain extracts. (J:152015)
