Mutation details: Exon 11 was replaced with one in which nucleotide substitutions of GGC to GAG result in an amino acid substitution of glycine for glutamic acid at position 657 (G657E). This mutation abolishes HAT activity. A floxed neo inserted downstream of exon 11 was removed by transient, cre mediated recombination in ES cells.
