• Mutation details: A human neurotrypsin cDNA containing a serine-to-alanine mutation, was subcloned into the XhoI site of the murine Thy1.2 genomic expression cassette. A loxP-flanked transcription termination cassette was inserted between the Thy1 promoter and the translational start codon of neurotrypsin. Mice carrying this transgene were mated with constitutively expressing Cre mice to delete the floxed transcription termination cassette and activate the dormant transgene. (J:136579)
