Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA loxP-site was inserted upstream of exon 2 and a floxed hygromycin cassette was placed downstream of exon 4. Chimeric mice were mated to a cre recombinase transgenic strain to delete exons 2-4. Genomic PCR confirmed that the correct targeting of the vector and subsequent exon excision took place. (J:141098)
