Mutation details: A neomycin selection cassette replaced the entire coding sequence of the locus. Gene inactivation was confirmed by a lack of detectable protein in immunoblot assays of homozygote testis extract. Expression of the nearby genes Prm1 and Tnps2 were unaffected as determined by Northern Blot.
