Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Chemically induced (ENU)
Mutation:    Undefined

Mutation detailsThis mutation was identified among progeny of an ENU-mutagenized male mouse. Mice heterozygous for both this mutation and the classic dilute mutation, Myo5ad, exhibit a coat color similar to that of homozygotes for the present mutation, and intermediate between coat colors of wild-type and homozygous dilute mice, suggesting this may be a hypomorphic allele of Myo5a. However, the present mutation has not been mapped, nor has sequence analysis been done of the Myo5a gene carried by these mutant mice.
Inheritance:    Recessive
