• Mutation details: A 1,787-bp human genomic DNA fragment of the CD11B gene containing 1704 bp of upstream DNA and the 83 bp encoding the 5' untranslated region drives expression of a cDNA comprising the 444-bp protein-coding sequence of mouse allograft inflammatory factor 1 (Aif1). Immunoblot analysis demonstrated transgene expression in the integrin alpha M/CD11B-positive cellular fraction and in lymphoid organs including spleen, lymph nodes and bone marrow. (J:126167)

Notes

Derivation of three transgenic lines is described; on northern blot analysis, #22 and #39 showed strong mRNA expression and #12 weak espression. Line #39 was backcrossed for 4 generations to BALB/c and analyzed on this background (J:126167). Whether line Y, which like line #39 was backcrossed to BALB/c (J:104881), is one of these three or an independently generated line is unclear.
