Mutation
origin
Mutant Cell Line:  AYU8-108
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:105350
Parent Cell Line:  TT2 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Gene trapped (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion of gene trap vector

Mutation detailsThe pU-hachi gene trap vector, containing an IRES-betageo, was inserted into the promoter region of the locus in reverse orientation of transcription. This vector was designed to be exchangeable upon cre expression. Expression of the endogenous locus was decreased by about 60-80% of wild-type, demonstrating this allele is a hypomorph. (J:105350)
