Notes

Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markers

J:7613

Among 30 males and 30 females from a cross CBA/Lac x C57BL/6J, there was no differences in number of spleen foci induced by Rauscher leukemia virus. From the reciprocal cross, C57BL/6J x CBA/Lac, males (N=38) had 1/4 the number of spleen loci as the females (N=52), indicating that the gene, Rv-3, is X-linked and C57BL/6J carries the recessive resistance allele and CBA/Lac carries the susceptibility allele.
