Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Gene trapped (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion of gene trap vector

Mutation detailsThe gene trap cassette inserted into the intron between exon 2 and exon 3 of the gene. RT-PCR and quantitative PCR (qPCR) analyses revealed absence of mRNA expression in both the cortex and hippocampus of homozygous mutant mice. In situ hybridization confirmed that mRNA signals are almost undetectable in mutant brain. (J:250032)
