Notes

RNase protection analysis revealed expression of transgenic mRNA in pancreas and testis. Immunohistologic and ligand-binding studies demonstrated expression and function of human CR2 specifically on pancreatic islets and on Lydig cells of the testis and translocation of the protein to the beta-cell membrane.
