Parent Cell Line:  Not Specified (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  C57BL/6
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Disruption caused by insertion of vector

Mutation detailsThe entire open reading frame was replaced with a cassette containing lacZ and neo inserted at the enodgenous start codon by homologous recombination. Neither transcript nor protein was undetected by Northern or Western blot analyses of a variety of tissues obtained from homozygous mutant mice. Expression of beta-galactosidase was driven by the endogenous promoter. (J:77039)
