Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThis allele is derived from Smpxtm1Rph by crossing mutant animals to a cre-expressing line, TgN(CMV-cre)1Cgn. The floxed exon 2 and neo cassette were removed by cre-mediated recombination leaving behind the remainder of the construct, the human placental alkaline phosphatase gene (ALPP). Western blot analysis of heart and muscle extracts from homozygous mutant animals did not detect protein expression. Alkaline phosphatase expression was noted in a similar expression pattern to the endogenous protein. (J:69803)
