Mutation details: Two point mutations generated by site directed mutagenesis were introduced at this locus by homologous recombination. A nonsense mutation at nucleotide 2403 resulted in the truncation of 96 carboxy terminal residues. An additional mutation at nucleotide 2362 mutated codon 704 to encode a phenylalanine rather than a tyrosine.
