description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThis allele is a derivative of Pck1tm1Lre in which Cre-mediated recombination removed the floxed PGK-neomycin resistance cassette that in the initial allele had replaced part of the adipose tissue-specific part of the promoter. Northern blot analysis of fasted homozygous mutant mice detected mRNA in liver and kidney, no mRNA in white adipose tissue, and a decreased level of mRNA in brown adipose tissue. RT-PCR studies using primers for exon 9 and 10 did not detect transcript in white adispose tissue from fasted homozygous mutant mice. (J:73977)
