Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA neomycin selection cassette was inserted to replace exon 3, which encodes the majority of the protein. FACS analysis showed an absence of protein expression on the surface of erythrocytes, leukocytes, and platelets isolated from homozygous mutant mice. The lack of protein expression was confirmed by immunhistochemical analysis in a variety of tissues. (J:70419)
