Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:63877
Parent Cell Line:  R1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl+
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsAn internal 2 kb genomic fragment was replaced with a lacZ gene and a PGK-neomycin cassette. The deleted region contains two exons encoding amino acids 40-103, which includes most of the amino-terminal lobe of the catalytic domain including the glycine-rich ATP binding loop. Western blot analysis of lysates prepared from E10.5 embryos confirmed that no detectable protein was expressed from this allele. (J:63877)
