Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:71961
Parent Cell Line:  TC1/TC-1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S6/SvEvTac
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion
Mutation detailsAn IRES-lacZ reporter gene and neomycin selection cassette was inserted after codon 42 of the coding region of the gene. RT-PCR analysis demonstrated that the endogenous transcript was not detectable in homozygous embryos. A beta-galactosidase protein was expressed from this allele under the control of the endogenous promoter. (J:71961)
