Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:28041
Parent Cell Line:  TT2 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA promoterless lacZ gene followed by a neomycin selection cassette replaced the entire coding sequence of the gene. Northern blot analysis demonstrated that no wild-type transcript was produced from this allele. Immunohistochemical analysis indicated that beta-galactosidase was expressed from this allele in the renal cortex of homozygous mice. (J:28041)
