Alliance: Parp1tm1Zqw page
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:23942
Parent Cell Line:  D3 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S2/SvPas
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsA promoterless neomycin gene replaced part of exon 2 and intron 2. The neomycin sequences were fused in-frame to the coding sequence of the gene. Northern blot analysis detected a truncated fusion transcript in homozygous mice. Enzyme activity assays demonstrated a lack of functional ADPRT1 protein in homozygous mice. (J:23942)
