Parent Cell Line:  R1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl+
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThis allele is derived from Pitx2tm1Sac. Gene targeting was performed with a vector engineered to contain a loxP site downstream from exon 4 and a floxed neomycin cassette upstream of exon 4. Subsequent cre expression resulted in deletion of both the neo selection cassette and exon 4. This allele is a demonstrated to be a functional null. (J:51160)
