Notes

Found in a stock homozygous for a partial t-haplotype (t^w111) and tufted (tf). It has no visible effect by itself in either heterozygotes or homozygotes. It is unlinked to the t complex on Chr 17, but interacts with the t-complex mutations T, T^c, tct, and Fu^ki to reduce tail length. See J:8819 for the tail phenotype of the various combinations of tint with these mutations. There was no interaction with three dominant and two recessive non-chromosome 17 mutations affecting tail length (J:8819).
