Notes

This mutation, which arose at the Biological Institut of the University of Halle, causes jaundice and early mortality in homozygotes. The jaundice is probably due to hemolysis (J:31898). Resemblance of the affected mice to Spna1^sph homozygotes prompted use of a related symbol, sph-(H), with "H" added for Halle (J:13449).
