The authors used primers that amplified both G6pdx and G6pd2. In the HaeIII-digested samples (H), the 166bp G6pdx product is cleaved into 100bp and 66bp bands. Presence of a 166bp band in these lanes reflects the presence of the uncleavable G6pd2 product(these data are shown in assay MGI:2657192).
