Doc2bem1(folA/cre)Guru - Nervous System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Doc2bem1(folA/cre)Guru
double C2, beta; endonuclease-mediated mutation 1, Channabasavaiah Gurumurthy
Driver: Doc2b
Type: Endonuclease-mediated (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer: trimethoprim
Synonym: Doc2bddCre
Molecular description: CRISPR/cas9 endonuclease mediated genome editing is used to introduce P2A-trimethoprim(TMP)-inducible cre (ddCre) cassette immediately before the stop codon of Doc2b gene. Cre recombinase is fused to the destabilizing DHFR (or folA) domain, which can be transiently stabilized by the administration of TMP.
