Molecular description: The targeting construct replaced the first 22 amino acids with an EGFP reporter gene, IRES, inducible cre recombinase fusion (cre/ERT2), polyadenylation sequence and FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette. In situ hybridization confirmed the absence of transcript expression in the intestin, skin and kidney.
