Molecular description: 3.9 Kb of the promoter region of Icam5 was used to drive telencephalon-specific expression of cre. Five lines were created with varied telencephalic expression patterns (authors provide detailed description of expression patterns in Table 1 of J:133552). Line D expresses in various telencephalic neurons with the exception of neurons in the the olfactory bulb, olfactory tubercle and striatum.
