Tg(mI56i-cre)6-2Clou - Head
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Tg(mI56i-cre)6-2Clou
transgene insertion 6-2, David E Clouthier
Driver: mI56i
Type: Transgenic (Recombinase)
Synonym: Dlx5/6-Cre
Molecular description: The intergenic distal-less homeobox 5/6 enhancer (mI56i) is a 440 bp fragment, endogenously located between Dlx5 and Dlx6. In this transgenic construct, mI56i was included immediately downstream of cDNA encoding a nuclear localization signal and cre. Additionally, a minimal beta-globin promoter was included in the construct. Expression of cre recombinase was first realized at E9.5 and observed in the apical ectodermal ridge, brain, and neural crest-derived mesenchyme of pharyngeal.
