Tg(Th-cre)12Mrub - Sensory Organs
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Tg(Th-cre)12Mrub
transgene insertion 12, Marcelo Rubinstein
Driver: Th
Type: Transgenic (Recombinase)
Synonym: TH-Cre
Molecular description: Sequence encoding cre recombinase was adjpoined to 9 kb of the rat tyrosine hydroxylase (Th) promoter. The rat Th promoter sequence drove expression of cre recombinase in catecholaminergic neurons. Expression was observed in the olfactory bulb, hypothalamic and midbrain dopaminergic neurons, the locus coeruleus, amacrime neurons of the retina, chromaffin cells of the adrenal medulla, and sympathetic ganglia.
