Molecular description: The transgenic construct encodes a tamoxifen-inducible fusion protein consisting of cre recombinase and a mutated human estrogen receptor ligand-binding domain fused to the mouse Tek promoter and 10.5 kb of the first intron. Transgene expression in endothelial cells of the liver and kidney was confirmed by immunohistochemical analysis.
