Molecular description: The mouse prion promoter was used to drive the expression of the tamoxifen-inducible form of a Cre recombinase/estrogen receptor fusion protein. Ten transgenic founder lines (28.1-28.10) that transmitted the transgene were obtained. Lines 28.4, 28.6, and 28.8 were further characterized.
