Homozygous hypomorphic mice exhibit enlarged stomachs, abnormal pyloric and lower esophageal sphincters, age-related cardiac hypertrophy, altered alcohol consumption and responses, decreased ovulation and reduced REM sleep. Homozygous null mice display increased neurogenesis in the adult brain.
