This locus controls resistance to Listeria monocytogenes infection. C57BL/6, C57BL/10, NZB and SJL are resistant; BALB/c, CBA, DBA/1, DBA/2, A/J, LP, RIII, WB, 129 and C3H are susceptible. Heterozygotes are resistant. Lsr1 and Ack have the same strain distribution and may be identical.
