Mice carrying combinations of Chromosome 17 alleles, from M. domesticus, M. spretus, or inbred strain backgrounds of differing t-haplotypes were tested. Crosses identified a locus distal to Hst1 causing male sterility, but with no change in testis weightor sperm count.
