description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Humanized sequence, Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(PDGFB-PSEN1M146L)2Jhd expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsA PDGFB promoter fused to a human PSEN1 cDNA, which includes the intron between exons 4 and 5 and carries a methionine to leucine substitution at amino acid 146 (M146L), was used for the transgene. The PDGFB promoter was used to drive transgene expression in neurons. Transgene expression was confirmed by Northern and Western blot analysis of brain extracts derived from transgenic animals.
