This locus controls resistance to C. immitis infection. BALB/c, AKR/N, A/J and C57BL/6 are susceptible (LD50 < 2.8); DBA/1, C3H/HeN and CBA/J are intermediate (LD50 = 3.32--3.85); DBA/2 is resistant (LD50 = 5.25), as is B6D2F1. Intermediate phenotype maybe due to a third allele or modifying genes.
