Homozygous null mice fail to reject fully mismatched allogeneic marrow grafts, do not develop graft versus host disease, and show enhanced survival after such transplants. Homozygous splice site mutants exhibit wasting, granulocytic lung infiltration and defective cytolysis by NK cells and CTLs.
