B2m is at 122147687- 122153082 and H13 is at 152669461- 152708670; therefore, H3b is between 122153082 and 152669461 bp on Chr 2. Tail skin rejection experiments show the smallest congenic interval containing H3b to be that of the R36 congenic strain, which contains LP variants at D2Dcr88 and D2Mit194 but not at D2Dcr81 or D2Mit491, limiting the H3b interval to 136961903-144313580 bp on Chr 2.
