  Sequential Southern blot screening of digested liver, kidney and tail DNA of 33 inbred strains of mice with 17 Igk-V probes generated tentative placement of Igk-V2 and Igk-V35 have been tentatively placed to the left and Igk-V22 to the right of putative breakpoints defined by NZB, C58, BDP, and AKR mice. The reported order of genes on mouse Chromosome 6 is as follows: (Igk-V11 - Igk-V24 - Igk-V35 - Igk-V2 - Igk-V9 - Igk-V1) - (Igk-V10 - Igk-V22 - Igk-V5 - Igk-V8 - Igk-V12/13 - Igk-V19) - Igk-V28 - Igk-V23 - (Igk-V21 - Igk-C) where the parentheses indicate unknown order.
