Notes
  • Reference
Authors use 5ht5a and rl for locus symbols Htr5a and Reln respectively.
  • Experiment
    Forty eight backcross mice [(BALB/cA-rl/rl x M. spretus) F1 x BALB/cA-rl/rl] that had meiotic recombinations between D5Mit47 and Htr5a (5ht5a) were screened for 8856 Restriction Landmark Genomic Scanning (RLGS) loci using 4 enzyme combinations. Thirty one of these loci (designated D5Rik87-D5Rik117) were mapped to the region near the Reln locus by observation of relative spot intensity between homozygous (Relnc, D5Mit47, Htr5a - full intensity) and heterozygous (half intensity) animals. D5Rik97, D5Rik98and D5Rik99 showed no recombination to Reln. The following locus order was reported: D5Mit47 - Pgy1 - D5Rik87 - D5Rik88 - D5Rik89 - D5Rik90 - D5Rik91 - D5Rik92 - D5Rik93 - D5Rik94 - 1.54 cM - D5Mit1 - D5Rik95 - D5Rik96 - D5Mit227 - 1.67 cM - D5Rik97 - D5Rik98 - D5Rik99 - D5Mit61 - Reln - D5Mit72 - D5Rik100 - D5Rik101 - D5Rik102 - D5Rik103 - D5Rik104 - D5Mit180.
